Hosts: Ken and Liesel Briggs Cabins: 2 Address: Box 10278, Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada Y1A 7A1 (km 1398.5 Alaska Hwy) Click here for location. Telephone/Fax: 867-668-7082 Activities/Attractions: If you are interested in local lore Ken is a great resource. He can tell you how Whitehorse and the Yukon was more than 40 years ago. Ask him about Whiskey Flats and the Shipyards area or the Klondike riverboat. Let's share camping, travel and exploring experiences. Let us introduce you to the forest where we live, show you our private trails, our lake and small private ponds. If you watch birds, like to walk in the forest as night falls, recline on a hillside or see the sun circle above on the longest day, this is for you. Here, you can drift about in a canoe or rowboat or paddle on an intimate lake, moments away from your front door. Click here for wedding info at the Cabins.

General Information: See another side of our Yukon Territory. Our fully appointed chalet- style cabins are nestled into the forest, which has been our home for 30 years. We are 20 minutes south of Whitehorse, on the Alaska Highway. A Yukon Forest Cabins stay is an opportunity for relaxation, retreat, meditation or some outdoor adventuring. We could be your vacation destination. The handcrafted scribed-log cabins will provide the idyllic retreat, an exceptional wedding or honeymoon location (Liesel is an appointed Yukon Marriage Commissioner). The cabins are equipped with two extra-long twin beds which make into one king size bed. A futon couch in the living room can sleep two additional people. You rise at your leisure and you cook when you're ready. We provide mostly Yukon grown or home-made breakfast ingredients. Our hens lay the eggs, our forest and garden provide the jams and spreads for the home made breakfast biscuits, breads or muffins in your kitchen.
This retreat or exquisite get-away will delight your senses and our breakfast fixings pamper your palate. Set apart in the Yukon forest; the seclusion will provide solace for your soul or be the genesis of your own Yukon journey. Please Note: Bring your own lunch and supper groceries unless you plan to eat in the local restaurant ( five minutes away by car). Additional: Small Retreat/Workshops on a daily or weekend basis can be arranged. Please contact us to discuss prices and your needs. Payment Accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Traveller's Cheques or cash. Rates: (Prices quoted in CAD Dollars). $199/night $25/night for each additional person. Breakfast is included. |
