"In the high country between Blowing Rock and Boone, NC there's a gem of an inn - the Inn at Yonahlossee. On a whim we decided a quick weekend get-away was in order so we called, booked a studio cottage, and headed up the mountain ... The rustic inn was beautifully landscaped and accented with mountain crafts. Comfortable and charming, the lobby area was small, but a visual treat. Our check in was quick and friendly. We received a map of the complex and some information, then took a quick peek at one of the eight inn rooms and found them delightful with impressive views ... The cleanliness and upkeep of the room was fantastic. Walls were not scuffed, there were no apparent stains on furniture, things were very clean and fresh."

The Gamekeeper Restaurant offers modern mountain cuisine in an elegantly rustic setting featuring in-house smoked meats, wild game, fish and vegetables prepared over a wood-fired grill.
