"This was our 3rd time and we were so pleased! The workers at the Tavern were very pleasant and friendly. Enjoyed our drinks and snack. The house was decorated for Christmas, had Magnolia wreaths on the doors and garland on the railings. Had a beautiful Christmas tree set up and the party that night was great! Food was wonderful and every one was dressed up and having a ball! We danced the night away to "The Castaways" and celebrated with all kinds of party favors at 12:00 with a champagne toast! Even had a free gift bag on our door knob awaiting our return to our room that night. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Very enjoyable time. We will be back!"

"I travel to South Boston 3 times a year for business and everytime I am lucky enough to be put up in Berry Hill. The Berry Hill provides a wonderful escape when all you want to do is relax and enjoy some southern hospitality. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. I've always managed to get a room with a lovely outdoor porch with chairs. The bathrooms are stunning and clean. The 4 post beds give the rooms a truly unique plantation experience ... you feel as though you are transported back to the days the inn was a functioning plantation. There are many things to do on the plantation itself, although I haven't had the time to take advantage of them. There is so much history in this place and so much to learn. If you are lucky enough to stay on a weekend or when they have a full house, the provided breakfast is outstanding and a true southern buffet. I would highly recommend this resort for an escape weekend or even a honeymoon."

"Grounds were beautifully landscaped, absolutely gorgeous beds and bathrooms, hardwood floors, balconies or porches with rocking chairs, lots of nooks on the property to read a good book. Pool was beautiful, very modern amenities in the sauna. It was very relaxing, would stay there again."
