Activities/Attractions: Cody, Wyoming is a unique and historic community located at the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park, in northwest Wyoming. Colonel William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody founded the town of Cody in 1896. Over the year's, Cody has grown to become the trade center for an area larger than some states. The end result is that Cody can provide the cultural and social amenities, shopping, family activities and the feel of a large city while maintaining the rural character and quality of life of a small western community.

Although travelers primarily make only a brief stop in Cody on their way West to Yellowstone National Park, Cody is worth spending a few days in to truly immerse yourself in the unique character of this western town.

General Information: The Comfort Inn - Buffalo Bill Village Resort is Cody, Wyoming's only downtown full service resort. The Comfort Inn offers 75 rooms including suites, family accommodations and - if you must bring the "office" with you - business-friendly accommodations.

We are conveniently located in downtown Cody. Yellowstone is 52 miles (East Gate) and 68 miles (Northeast Gate) to the west, a beautiful drive through the Shoshone Forest. When you enter your room there is a Billy Buffalo on the bed to welcome you. He'll sleep with you for the night but you can purchase his cousins in the Buffalo Bill Village Giftshop.

"The desk staff was very friendly and welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The proximity to downtown is convenient. We stayed in the back building which was completely non-smoking and we appreciated that. Being a guest here gives you access to the pool next door. The pool was big and clean ... we were very comfortable in the hotel and loved Cody. If we have the opportunity to go back, we will stay here again."
