General Information: At Rocky Mountain Experience in Hinton, Alberta ... experience your adventure among the natural wonders surrounding your cozy, intimate log cabin, nestled in the front range of the great Canadian Rockies. Relax by a cheerful fire amid the glow of honey-colored, hand-hewn logs inside your handsomely appointed cabin. Wrap yourself in a home-made afghan and listen to wolves sing, or touch the stars from your private deck. All meals are prepared for you, cowboy-style, on a wood-fired range.

Rocky Mountain Escape's credo is to protect our environment. We're committed to conserving this unique sub alpine ecosystem, enabling guests to enjoy an unspoiled wilderness experience.

• constructed for high energy efficiency, your cabin needs a minimal amount of energy to keep it toasty warm
  
• solar-powered units deliver lighting and efficient wood stoves provide heat in each of the three cabins, each of which accommodates up to four guests
  
• a well-screened generator runs a minimum amount of time to provide water pressure for hot showers, to run the refrigeration and deep freeze for food storage and, of course, to provide Cookie with her morning coffee
  
• each cabin is equipped with a queen-sized bed
  
• sofa (1 cabin) or double fold-down futon (2 cabins)
  
• rocker chair, wood burning stove
  
• full bath (tub/shower unit with hot and cold running water and indoor plumbing)
  
• double propane burner for complimentary coffee/tea/hot chocolate
  

We provide all bedding and linen, of course, and kindling and firewood is stacked on the deck for use in the stove.
