Activities/Attractions: Anderson Island is the southernmost island in the Puget Sound ... just south of Tacoma. As you drive through a park like setting on this beautiful 8.1 mile island, you will climb rolling hills, wind around on country roads lined with rich green foliage and mature trees. The Anderson Island Parks and Recreation District provides the public with parks for swimming, trail exploring, picnicking, and playground fun in different locations.
Guests can tour Anderson Island, Washington by car, bicycle, or foot. Any way is enjoyable. About 2 miles from The Inn at Burg's Landing Bed and Breakfast is the old one-room school house built in the 1890's that your host, Ken Burg, attended as a boy growing up on the Island.
Approximately 1 mile from the old school is the Johnson Farm, now the Anderson Island Historical Society Museum. Other activities available near The Inn at Burg's Landing Bed and Breakfast on Anderson Island include:

Guests are welcome to walk our private beach and collect seashells and agates, watch sailboats glide past the island or an occasional deer browsing through our orchard, and gaze at the beautiful sunsets over the Olympic Mountains.
General Information: Welcome to The Inn at Burg's Landing, a beautiful bed and breakfast situated along the peaceful shores of Anderson Island, Washington, overlooking the magnificent Puget Sound. A short ferry trip from Steilacoom and Tacoma, our rustic log homestead (built in 1987) boasts beautiful views of Mt. Rainier, Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains from the large picture window.
The Inn is only a short distance from The Anderson Island Historical Society Museum and offers 4 comfortable guest rooms and a deck with a hot tub. There are 4 rooms available:
- Two on the ground floor: one with queen bed and private
bath, the other with queen bed and shared bath
- One on the main floor with queen bed and shared
bath
- The Master Suite in the loft, with private bath and
hydro-tub for two. After a relaxing hot bath, dream the night away
under the large star-filled skylight above the comfy queen-size log
bed
