shops and a vibrant cultural life - yet orchards and vineyards
thrive within a 10-minute drive of the downtown core. Spectacular
vistas await those ready to explore; a delightful day can be spent
sampling the award winning wares of our numerous
internationally acclaimed wineries, or you may wish to visit one of
several championship golf courses in the area.
Situated on the eastern shore of Okanagan Lake mid-way between
Penticton in the south and Vernon in the north, Kelowna residents
and tourists alike find the lake offers
wonderful opportunities for boating, swimming or fishing. The
nearby mountains attract hikers, skiers and outdoor enthusiasts of
all descriptions. There are three major ski hills within a one hour
drive - Big White, Silver Star and Apex.
"This was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast, and due to our gracious hostess, Mina, it has become our choice of accommodation. Upon arrival, we were enthralled with a beautiful home and an incredible garden. We stayed in the very stylish Cotswold room, which had a stunning ensuite! Mina gave us a tour of her home, (which could be in a design magazine), there were beautiful antiques accented with acquisitions from her world travels. The real treat was when we went outside to the rear garden - it was a gardener's paradise. There was a spectacular water feature surrounded by the most beautiful assortment of plants and trees. Our first evening was spent in the city of Kelowna, where we had a terrific dinner at a restaurant recommended by Mina. We enjoyed the outdoor music by Okanagan Lake and strolled the boardwalk along the lake. Our breakfast was absolutely delicious, the hardest part was making a decision as to which one to have. Mina was the most gracious hostess, who made us feel most welcome and we really enjoyed talking with her about her own travels. I would highly recommend her B&B."

A different country was represented in the breakfast table dressings each morning with interesting stories to go with it, and a variety of foods were presented, beautifully prepared. General Information: Welcome to An English Rose Garden Bed and Breakfast in Kelowna, British Columbia ... elegance inside and out in an air conditioned southern plantation styled home situated in the prestigious residential area with lake and mountain views. You can relax, sip on your favourite beverage while enjoying the view and formal rose garden or unwind on the patio listening to the fountains overseeing the gardens. We are ideally located to neighborhood wilderness walking, mountain biking trails, skiing, wineries, beaches, golf courses and fine restaurants.
The Cotswold Room offers:

The Wicker Room offers:
- view of fish pond and garden
- wicker furniture
- headboards on king or twin beds
- tiled ensuite with large shower stall
- bathrooms feature gold faucets and marble countertops
- internet and email connection
There is a double Murphy wall bed in the living room. When it is used with the Wicker room, sharing the bathroom, the room accommodates two couples or a family with two children. It's private from the other guest as you uses different doors to enter the house. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom for privacy.

"My husband and I
stayed for one week at this amazing home. Mina couldn't do
enough to make our stay more pleasurable. We didn't know the
area and she gave us maps, information on what to see also made
reservations at great restaurants for us.
This home is just beautiful inside and the gardens are like a
miniature Butchart Gardens. In the evening you can sit outside and
here the water running down to her pond that's full of flowers
and fish. We had a wide choice for our breakfast menu. The food,
presentation and atmosphere was very good. The bedroom was not only
beautiful, but very comfortable to sleep in. We want everyone to
know this is a great retreat to just relax, and enjoy Mina's
awesome hospitality."
"We had a nicely decorated and comfortable room and our own bathroom. We totally enjoyed the whole hospitality of our stay. Mina was a perfect host – welcoming, gracious and well informed. We had a lot of excellent conversations on so many subjects over the breakfast or when we returned from our “house hunting” trips. We could choose from a variety of breakfast delights and enjoyed the various table decorations. It was really nice to be pampered in many respects whether it was breakfast, information about Kelowna, Maps, reservations, internet access you name it. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much and can recommend without hesitation “An English Rose Garden."
