Activities/Attractions: The beautiful, unspoilt island of Agistri (or Angistri) is just over one hour from the Athens port of Piraeus. Agistri is the smallest of the Saronic islands, and is also the greenest, the most picturesque and the least developed. For these reasons, it is sometimes described as the best kept secret of the Saronic Gulf.
Agistri is ideally located for making short visits to other nearby Saronic islands such as Aegina, Poros, Hydra or Spetses. It is also possible to make day trips to see the Acropolis in Athens and special evening boat trips are arranged for performances at the ancient theatre of Epidavros during the summer festival. In the summer, evening cruises are available which go around the island at sunset.
Agistri has a very high rate of return visitors many of whom come back two or three times a year. There are regular daily ferry and catamaran services from Piraeus which makes it very easy to access from Athens. This avoids the need to spend a night in Athens when arriving or leaving or having to spend a day on a crowded ferry to reach a more distant island such as those in the Cyclades.
Throughout 2012 Rosy’s Little Village will be hosting a variety of workshops for the mind body and soul. Some of the workshops are pre-booked.
"Rosy's Little Village is paradise and so is the little island of Agistri. I have been going for nearly 20 years and love it more each time ... Rosy's Little Village itself is an amazing little complex of truly Greek style accommodation, friendly little bar, sunbathing areas and the sea just down the terraces. Rosy's food is scrumptious and she just makes you feel part of her wonderful family. Nondas, her lovely hubby will teach you to sail a small boat."
"This is a delightful complex of small rooms - 14 in all - right on the edge of the sea with a view across to Aegina. Whether you are travelling alone, as a couple, or a small group of friends you will find a warm welcome from Rosy and her Greek husband and family. This is not a place for those who want the bright lights and ready-made entertainment and but if you are looking for peace and tranquility in a beautiful setting this is the place to be. It has retained the charm and simplicity of the old 'village rooms' style accommodation but for today's tourists there are en suite shower rooms and air-conditioning. Once you have been there you will certainly want to return."
"Nice harbour village, where the beaches are right outside the door. You search the surroundings for a comfortable, inexpensive place for your holiday and suddenly, not many hundred meters from the harbour on a lush hillside with a splendid view over the Saronic Gulf, you find "Rosy's little Village". I was overwhelmed by the beauty and the simple yet stylish architecture and the atmosphere was tranquil and very, very pleasant. What do you want more?"
"In August we married in Greece - at Rosy's on her beautiful place in Angistri - a small island just one hour from Piraeus. We stayed at ROSY'S LITTLE VILLAGE during the Olympic games in Athens, and the wedding and party took place on the veranda with a beautiful seaview to Aegina. Rosy and her husband Nonda was very helpful to fulfill our dream."
"Thanks for a wonderful week. With its charming simplicity your village has been one of the best places we ever stayed."

"We discovered Rosy's Little Village in Angistri a few years ago and have returned several times since then. Her delightful village style rooms are arranged in small groups among flowers and trees and overlook the sea. They have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and refrigerators, and are beautifully decorated. The hotel occupies a very quiet position a few minutes walk away from the main port Skala. We love to sit on our balcony looking over the water to Aegina and watching the boats coming and going. However, it is not just the location which brings us back to Rosy's, but Rosy herself. We think you are just lovely Rosy and we look forward to seeing you again in the Spring."
"If you're going anywhere near Athens then make the trip to Rosy's 'Little Village' on Agistri - a very small island, 10 minutes by boat from Aegina (itself only about 30 mins from Piraeus.) Rosy's is an enchanting enclave of white-washed, balconied bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms and picturesque terraces. Here you can eat breakfast, sip icy ouzo and retsina and sample the tantalising tastes of Rosy's cooking while overlooking the Saronic Gulf where the water is so clear you can see the sea bed as you swim. Families and children are made to feel as if they're home from home and for writers and artists of any level it's a creative haven."
"Rosy's creative, insightful self offers you a lovely, sparkling clean, lively Greek style you'll always remember. The friendly, simplicity of the richness of life itself is here for you to experience for a few days, a week, a month...you may never want to leave. Reasonably priced, her rooms face the gorgeous calm of the deep blue sea & islands beyond. Bring your books, journals, sketch pads, your guitar ... dance! Why not? Breathe that fresh air, smell the flowers, and by all means, don't tell everybody about Rosy's! Close yet feeling far away, there's easy access by water taxi to the large island of Aegina, just a few short moments away; then easy access to the main port of Athens, transportation to the city, airport et al."
