Activities/Attractions: The great sweep of St. Austell Bay and its hinterland play host to a vivid range of scenery, spectacle and activity, compounded by a location which makes it a natural touring centre, within an hour's drive of most major attractions in the county. Its industry of china clay goes back to William Cookworthy's discovery at St Stephen-in-Brannel in 1748 - the development of which can be seen at the Wheal Martyn Heritage Museum or followed in industrial heritage tours by car.
The central position of Sedgemoor Heights makes it an ideal base for touring Cornwall. Attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are a 10 minute drive, whilst the beautiful beaches and picturesque harbour villages of St Austell Bay are a stones throw away.
Take time to enjoy the sun in quiet, sheltered surroundings, full of flowers in spring and summer. You can also take the opportunity to wander through our walled Victorian garden containing a wealth of fascinating plants, including many subtropical varieties.
"The beds are very comfy. I didn’t like the ketchup when it came out at the speed of a speedboat, though. I adored Blue and Pepper, and I am hoping I can come again someday. The breakfast was lovely."
"Enjoyed our stay. Haven’t had a breakfast like that in years! Eden was brilliant, well worth travelling the length of England to see."
"Just as good the second time around. See you again. We’ll be back."
"Great value. Convenient location ... The 4 of us really enjoyed our trip to Cornwall. And staying here - the rooms and everything else was excellent!"
"Really comfy room - very friendly hosts (including cat and dog!)"
"Every comfort supplied in a very attractive room! Truly a 5-star b&b."
"Very warm welcome and a most comfortable room. Real hospitality from kind folks! Thank you! What a beautiful garden!"
