Activities/Attractions: Eagle, Alaska is located on the Yukon River four air miles from the Canadian Border. Nestled in the river valley with a close view of the Ogilvie mountains, it is often called the 'Jewel on the Yukon.' It can be reached by road, air and water. Established in 1897 during the Klondike Gold Rush, the community still provides visitors with the nostalgic atmosphere of the early days when Eagle was the judicial, commercial, mining and military center for the Upper Yukon.

Eagle is the gateway to the Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve and is one of the best-preserved boomtowns of the gold rush era. Perched on the south side of the Yukon below Eagle Bluff, Eagle remains relatively untouched, with many of the town’s original structures still standing.

The National Park Service Visitor Center in Eagle is the best place to plan any treks into the Preserve, whether hiking or with river craft. A number of outfitters offer rafting on the Charley River as well as the Yukon. The Yukon Queen, a tour vessel, makes daily trips between Eagle and Dawson City in the summer.

General Information: Welcome to Falcon Inn B&B ... sitting less than 100 feet from the Yukon River's silty waters, the inn is just upstream from Eagle Bluff. Peregrine falcons, for which the inn is named, nest on the bluff every summer and daily tours of the Eagle Historical Society start less than a block from our front door.
