Cozy Cove Inn B&B Homer Alaska Bed and Breakfast Places To Stay Lodgings Accommodations
Host: Marcella Suydam
Address: 205 Cozy Cove Drive, P.O. Box 3246, Homer, Alaska 99603 USA
Activities/Attractions: Located near the southern tip of the Kenai Peninsula, Homer is variously described as “where the land ends and the sea begins,” “the cosmic hamlet by the sea,” an arts community, and a fishing community. Common to almost any description is an acknowledgement that Homer is situated in one of the most beautiful places in the world, with spectacular views of Kachemak Bay, the Kenai Mountains, and several volcanic peaks across Cook Inlet including Mt. Augustine, Mt. Iliamna, and Mt. Redoubt.
Homer is also famous for the Homer Spit, a 4.5 mile natural spit of land extending into Kachemak Bay. Accommodating Homer’s port facilities and small boat harbor along with numerous shops, restaurants, the Nick Dudiak “Fishing Hole,” campgrounds, charter fishing and sight-seeing businesses, and other attractions, the Spit is a beehive of activity during the summer months.
There are many options from which to choose. You can stroll a sunlit beach, hike up a mountain, kayak by a glacier or in a protected cove. Tour by land, air or sea; horseback, four-wheeler, or sail the wind - on the water or above the hills. Or choose close encounters with wildlife, such as bears and sea creatures, in their own habitat. Homer provides a variety of exciting recreational adventures for everyone.
Within the quiet, serene surroundings of Crestview Estates and our bed and breakfast, you will very likely see wildlife such as moose, bear, eagles, coyote, sand hill cranes, pheasant, ptarmigan or spruce hens along with lush, beautiful wild flowers.
"We vacationed for two weeks in Alaska and stayed in 6 different B&Bs. They were all good to decent, but Cozy Cove Inn was the best - in all categories! It was situated on the side of a mountain that had a great view. It was spacious with a full kitchen, comfortable living space, large bath. Marcella served wonderful breakfasts and was very entertaining sharing her life experiences with us. It was private and secluded, yet close to Homer. It was the most pleasant surprise of our whole trip. When we return to Homer, we will again stay at Cozy Cove Inn, without hesitation. We highly recommend Cozy Cove Inn."
"My husband and I stayed in the main house for two nights and it was perfect in every way. Marcella is the nicest hostess and couldn't do enough for us. The house is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. The house is spotless and we found it to be one of the nicest bed and breakfasts we have ever visited."
"We saw a lot of Alaska on our trip and we’ve stayed at different places. But what a nice place this is! It’s warm, cozy and we are surprised every minute. We discover a new, funny, detail every time! The view is amazing!"
"We have been to Homer many times, but had yet to find a place as enjoyable and comfortable as this. Now we are excited to have found where we intend to bring friends and family for our future visits to the Kachemak Bay."
"My friend and I had the great pleasure of staying in this absolutely perfect bed and breakfast for three nights - two in the Bear Paw Studio and one in within the main house - both experiences were wonderful. Marcella is a lovely woman and is a charming host who goes above and beyond the norm to make her home inviting and she conveys the spirit of Alaska in so many ways. I could easily live in the Bear Paw studio for weeks on end."

"Marcella was wonderful. Charlie and I have visited many B&B's over the years and never had such good food and service. She has no problem with cooking for special diets and has a great dog and cat to welcome you."
"I had a fantastic time at this Bed And Breakfast. I stayed in the room (suite) in the main house. It was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. A black bear was even gracious enough to stroll through the back yard on my first night. Towels are thick and the amenities (lotions, candles, pillows, etc.) were very good quality (love the Burt's Bees lotion). Marcella really knows how to make her guests feel at home. I would definitely stay here again."
"We consistently stay in bed and breakfasts when we travel and this is by far the best one we have ever stayed in. There are many reasons for this. Marcella is the warmest, most gracious host who can't do enough for her guests."
"This was our first B&B experience and we loved it! It is so nice to be close to town, but far enough away that everything seems peaceful and serene. We enjoyed the muffins, cookies, and the room. You have done such a beautiful job building and decorating it."
