Activities/Attractions: Coronado is a small "island" town in San Diego Bay, approximately 7.4 square miles in size, connected to the City of San Diego by the San Diego-Coronado Bridge and to the City of Imperial Beach to the south by State Highway 75. The town is the neighbor of Naval Base Coronado.
Downtown Coronado boasts unique shops and many restaurants serving residents and visitors. Our award-winning beach, recently ranked second best in the country by the Travel Channel, is a special jewel.
The Cherokee Lodge is located just one short block from the center of downtown Coronado and only four blocks from one of the finest beaches in southern California. Guests have numerous options for meals and entertainment.
"Cherokee Lodge is a perfect place to stay on an otherwise expensive island ... Karen is the most excellent and loving hotel manager you could ever meet. This hotel has had love put into it, which is probably the highest compliment I can ever give. The room was clean and spacious, there was a fridge, satellite TV, and a pretty good view of the town. I don't think I could ask for a better experience and if I ever go back to San Diego, this will be my hotel of choice. Period. Everything is literally 1 to 3 blocks from your front door!"
"For a reasonable price, we found it to be a small, pleasant place where we could settle, then explore the area and beaches. It was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the area, nicely furnished and we could come and go as we pleased. It was obviously furnished and tended with care that created a "homelike" ambiance. We tend to prefer the simple life and would definitely return on our next visit to the other coast."

"I have been a repeat guest of the Cherokee Lodge for a couple of years now. It is a charming home away from home atmosphere ... The lodge is located just a block away from downtown Coronado so anything you need is a skip away. I have also stayed in several rooms in the lodge and find each one very comfortable and lovely ... Several of my friends have also stayed at the lodge and loves the privacy and lack of foot traffic and noise that is usually experienced at other lodgings. The manager could not be more helpful and making you feel welcomed from just making the reservation to accommodating every need as possible. This is a unique experience and well worth it. If you are in need of the usual big hotel stay then you shouldn't bother but if you want something different this is the place. The Cherokee Lodge is a unique and wonderful experience. I recommend it to all."
