"If you can't find time in your schedule for that trip to France this year, a stay at St. Bernard's will provide a reasonable facsimile. Although the setting, just off U.S. 101 between Cannon Beach and Manzanita, won't convince you that you're in Provence, the building itself is as grand a manor house as any in France. Incorporating elements from castles and châteaux, it's straight out of a fairy tale. European antiques, original art, and an abundance of tapestry-cloth furnishings fill the house. Each of the rooms fulfills a different fantasy of the perfect romantic escape. There is the circular Tower Room, with its own soaking tub; the Gauguin, filled with reproductions of paintings by you-know-who; and the Tapestry Room, with a stained-glass ceiling and an ocean view from the soaking tub. Lavish, three-course breakfasts are served in the conservatory. So luxurious is this place that the fact that you aren't right on the beach doesn't even seem to matter." - Frommers

"We had a wonderful weekend stay at the Arch Cape House. We stayed in the Tower room, which was beautifully furnished with a great view of the ocean. We loved the fireplace and the deep soaking tub!! Breakfast is a definite highlight -- A three course meal that is to die for! Barbara is an awesome cook and a wonderful hostess! We took advantage of the evening social hour on Saturday night, as we arrived too late on Friday night for this. It was nice to have a some wine by the fireplace and enjoy the company of others that were staying at the inn. We loved every minute of our stay at the Arch Cape House! Wish we could have stayed longer! We will be back!!"
