Jasper is a world-renowned vacation destination offering first-class visitor attractions, activities, facilities and services. The town nestles in a rugged, unspoiled wilderness of unparalleled beauty: towering snow-capped mountain peaks provide the backdrop for evergreen forests, pristine glacier-fed lakes and waterfalls.

We are 5 minutes from the entrance to Jasper National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wildlife and wildflowers are plentiful, watch for deer right out your window, feed the chick-a-dees, woodpeckers, and hummingbirds. We are close to:

  • hiking trails
  • the hottest Hot-Springs in the Rockies
  • first class golfing at Jasper Park Lodge Golf Course (named the best in Canada)
  • canoeing
  • fishing is great in the many mountain lakes
  • go white-water rafting
  • hike in the valley or up to the peaks
  • cross-country ski right out the backdoor in winter
  • drive up to Marmot Basin, about 1 hour away

General Information: Welcome to Ginger Bread Cabin in Jasper East ... amidst the Canadian Rockies of Alberta. Emil and Gina have lived in Jasper for many years and are happy to assist you in planning your activities during your stay in the area. Brochures will be on hand and we would be happy to hear from you.

The log cabin is 1000 sq. ft. and is ready for occupancy at 2pm on the beginning day of the lease and must be vacated by 11am. Easily accommodating 2 couples or a family of 3-5 (yes, children are welcome), the cabin features:

  • Fully equipped pine-kitchen, fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee-maker, pantry
  • Vaulted pine ceiling with fan
  • Open great-room with satellite TV and VCR
  • Phone, free calls to Jasper and Hinton, Brule and Cadomin
  • 1 bedroom with queen-size bed
  • Open loft with 1 double and 1 single bed
  • Comforters, bedding, and linen provided
  • 1 bathroom on main floor with shower adjacent to main bedroom
  • Additional bathroom, with soap and towels provided
  • Large deck with propane barbeque and lawn furniture
