Activities/Attractions: San Jose has a spectacular setting, ringed by the jagged silhouettes of soaring mountains – some of them volcanoes – on all sides. It is vibrant and cosmopolitan, with a sprinkling of excellent museums, some elegant buildings and landscaped parks, good cafés and the odd intriguing art gallery.
We are located in Barrio Amon, which is one of the most classical neighborhoods in San Jose, and considered part of the National Heritage because of its architectural, historical and cultural values.
We are also the perfect central location in Costa Rica for your tour and travels around Costa Rica. Almost all car rental companies and tours drop off and pickup, right at our front door here in San Jose! Or rent your car at the airport and drop it off here or vice versa.
"We stayed at this hotel for two nights and found it to be attractive and clean ... In addition, the fruit, pastries, and coffee provided for breakfast were very good. We cannot say enough about the helpfulness of the staff - especially William, who went out of his way to help us several times - he is the Best ... this hotel is located close to some of the more interesting sights of the city and is also located near a very good restaurant - Bakea."
"The hotel is housed in a beautiful old plantation home and is lovely. The staff were so attentive. As soon as our taxi pulled up they helped with our bags and made us very comfortable. They also made us breakfast extra early before our flight, called a taxi for us two times (once for dinner and once for the airport), and were helpful at every step of the way. The room was very nice and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There is a small pool with a jacuzzi on site, which we did not use, but it looked very nice ... I would recommend this hotel to anyone."
"Cute courtyard with small pool, built in slide. Very friendly, nice, helpful, staff. The restaurant is the best! We gave it a,10! Reasonable, good selection, service and nice presentation. Good continental breakfast."
"It is an antique. And charming in that respect. The pool is tiny as is the "garden". The room was small, but a very clean, large bathroom. Typical breakfast, pastry and fruit, and great coffee."

"Gated entry with 24 hour staff. Concierge service is great! ... They will help you with everything. There is a quaint restaurant, El Oasis, on premises ... Small pool. Fruit/Danish/coffee/tea breakfast every morning at 7 AM. They help you with money exchange, too ... it's the helpful attitude of the staff that excels. A nice shopping district is nearby. They have a pretty complete little weight room and free weights, too. I think it was a great place for the price and helpfulness."
