Activities/Attractions: Somerset West, about 50 kilometres east of Cape Town, has always been popular as a residential area. Life is quieter here at the foot of the Helderberg, away from the bustle of the city, bordering on the beautiful winelands and close to the warm Indian Ocean.

Somerset West is ideally placed for exploring the winelands of the Western Cape, the Vergelegen and Spier Wine Estates are well worth visiting. It is protected from the coastal winds by the majestic Hottentots Holland Mountains.

Named after Lord Charles Somerset in 1819, Somerset West is the commercial and residential capital of the Helderberg Basin whilst maintaining its village atmosphere. The Helderberg Nature Reserve, close by, is rich in the Cape Fynbos.

The Strand and Gordon's Bay, seaside towns on the warm Indian Ocean of False Bay, are about 15 kilometers away.

For the golfer there are many options. Erinvale has its own championship golf course (designed by Gary Player). In addition there are more than 10 other excellent golf courses within a 30 min drive of the estate.

The food and wine lover will be spoilt for choice with dozens of world-class restaurants and wine-tasting venues on your doorstep. For shopping, the Somerset Mall offers all you need in the way of fashion, home décor, food, cinemas and restaurants.

The quaint seaside village of Hermanus, world-renowned as a whale-watching site, is a picturesque 45 min drive from Somerset West.

General Information: Welcome to Vineyard View Holiday Home ... situated on the spectacular Erinvale Golf Estate in Somerset West, Western Cape and offering unobstructed views of the surrounding Hottentot Hollands mountains.

The accommodation consists of three ensuite bedrooms, kitchen, separate lounge and dining area as well as a small garden with pool.

• Vineyard View has 3 en-suite bedrooms, all equipped with remote-control ceiling fans
  
• The master bedroom has a king-size bed and full en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower
  
• The second bedroom has twin beds and a bath, basin and toilet en-suite
  
• The third bedroom has a double bed and a shower, basin and toilet en-suite
  
• The living area has a heating/cooling air conditioner and a fireplace for chilly winter evenings
