Activities/Attractions: The City of Versailles was founded in 1792 and is located in central Kentucky within a short driving distance of Lexington, Frankfort and Louisville. Versailles is totally surrounded by beautiful, serene farmland and some of the most famous horse farms in the Bluegrass region. Most of these horse farms are home to famous Kentucky thoroughbreds and winners of the famed Kentucky Derby.
Versailles offers rolling hills, lush greenery and world-famous plank fences! Each season has something new to offer whether it be flowers in Spring, vegetables in Summer, multi-colored leaves in Fall or snow covered barns in Winter, there is a season for everyone!
"We came for the grace and charm of the World Class Saddlebred horses of Red Mile. We found them but we also found a home with you here. Your wonderful facility was only exceeded by the warmth of the hearts that greeted us and complimented our week's stay."
"The Rose Hill Inn is everything I imagined and more! It's the most romantic and elegant B&B, yet there's such a sense of warmth and comfort that are so inviting. What a combination!"
"From the moment Andy greeted us at the door, we felt right at home. The special treats in our beautiful room were appreciated - you thought of everything to make our visit memorable."
"This is amazing -- it's like stepping into the past with DVDs."
"Superb hospitality with flair, warmth and a personal touch. What fun for our entire family. We surely shall visit again soon."
"While fires are not permitted in the fireplaces, a fire was kindled in our hearts in the cottage. It was our 5th wedding anniversary."
"The only thing wrong with our stay is that we have to leave!"
