Activities/Attractions: Kangaroo Island is one of Australia's great scenic treasures and a must for anyone interested in travel to wilderness destinations. Located 110 km (70 miles) south-west of Adelaide and easily accessible by ferry or plane. A mix of attractive small townships and fascinating wilderness; Kangaroo Island is Australia's third largest island.

From the start of the 20th century tourism became a fundamental component of the islands economy. To this day Kangaroo Island's numerous natural wonders, beaches, conservation parks and wildlife sanctuaries are visited by tens of thousands of people each year.

Centrally located in the heart of Kangaroo Island, we are just 10 minutes from Seal Bay, 15 minutes from Vivione Bay, 35 minutes from the wonders of Flinders Chase National Park and nearby to the Parndana Wildlife park and Historic Soldier Settler Museum at Parndana.

Meander through the natural paths to explore our unique bushland. These paths lead to the decking and relaxation area on the Eleanor River where you can enjoy a picnic, or just take a stroll along the banks to experience the beauty of this spring fed river and its unique surroundings, birds and wildlife.

"Couldn't have hoped for better! Best stay I've ever had in Australia, NZ, & Europe. Thank you so much Graeme for being a perfect host from getting us dried branches for the fire to showing us how fun Marron catching is! Jason loved the fireplace, Mum couldn't stop praising the kitchen and we all loved the "neighbours!" You've got a wonderful spot on the island, will definitely visit again!"

Thanks Graeme and Kathy for a fantastic week! We have certainly had our wildlife "fix" and the kids have had such a wonderful time. Thanks Graeme for your hospitality and for the Marron catching! Your accommodation is beautiful and we couldn't have been more comfortable. We wish you both luck with the place in the coming years and hope to visit again one day. Cheers!"

"100% Better than expected. Will come & stay again. Could quite easily live here. This place is far better equipped than a lot of places I have lived! Well done!"

"We had a really relaxing time, a little piece of Aussie paradise – Glad we discovered it. Good luck with your new house. Enjoy!"

"We arrived late, having come across on the last ferry, with no time to shop. It was delightful to walk into a cabin where the log fire was already going and there was food in the fridge for an evening snack and a hearty breakfast the following morning. The cabin was beautifully appointed and perfect for our needs. The next morning, as the sun came up, revealed a lovely private location filled with native flora and fauna including those fabulous grass trees, wallabies and plenty of native birds. Graeme pulled by that morning to see that everything was all right but we suspect he knew the answer already: I doubt he or Kathy will ever receive a complaint about their wonderful cabin or their excellent service."

"Too good to tell anyone else (but I’m sure we will) - we loved the cabin, surroundings and the island. See you again very soon!"

"It was remarkable – much, much better than we expected! Thank you so much Graeme & Kathy."

"Loved the isolation and central location. Great attention to detail. We felt at home the moment we arrived. Your rating says 4 Stars but we give it 5. Well done!"

"Thanks so much the cabin is very nice. Good luck with this venture."
