Activities/Attractions: The City of Bunbury is a bustling port city with a proud history and an expectant future. Its pristine beaches, working harbour and inviting centre provide a stimulating environment for residents and visitors alike.

Located 175km south of Perth, Western Australia, the city of Bunbury covers an area of 65.7 square kilometres on a picturesque peninsular bounded on three sides by the Indian Ocean, Koombana Bay and Leschenault Inlet. Bunbury has a population of 50,810 people located within 15km of the city centre and a regional population of 133,392.

Bunbury is a popular holiday destination and home to a number of dolphins and plenty of Blue Manna Crabs. Due to the many Bottlenose Dolphins, a popular activity is a visit to the Dolphin Discovery Centre on Koombana Beach. You may also get the opportunity to swim with the dolphins, which is wonderful.

There are a number of other tourist attractions around Bunbury, including the Big Swamp Wildlife Park, the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries and the interesting King Cottage. You can also visit the nearby 4 metres by 7 metres church in Australind, or join one of the walking tours around the town, or a Cheese and Wine Cruise. There are some excellent cafes and restaurants in Bunbury, with many situated along the 'Cappuccino Strip' on Victoria Street.

The jewel of the South-West, the area surrounding Margaret River is alive with natural wonders and attractions. The region is famous for its wine with over 40 wineries open for tastings. Margaret River is also famous for its surfing and windsurfing with some of the most powerful waves in Australia. Natural wonders include magic limestone caves and the Leeuwin Naturaliste National Park.

Busselton has an easy-going charm as it sits sedately fronting the calm waters of Geographe Bay. The area is well endowed with broad beaches and sheltered coves.

General Information: Welcome To Colomberie Bed & Breakfast in Bunbury, Western Australia ... between the forest and the sea, Colomberie B&B is an ideal location for travellers between Perth and the south west, being only 7km south of Bunbury CBD. Within easy driving distance are the Capes region, caves and Margaret River wineries, olive farm, lavender farms, berry farm and many specialty shops and of course, Busselton and Bunbury attractions including swimming with the dolphins.

Our home is on an acre, in a quite cul-de-sac and has a walled garden for the enjoyment of visitors. As experienced travellers ourselves, we understand the needs of those away from home.

  • You might just find an old favourite biography or something quite new to you in sociology or maybe a travel book for an armchair trip

The Green Room Suite offers Queen bedded room with alcove for dining or extra bed as shown, with two sets of windows with views to formal gardens and bushland. The ensuite is tiled with decorative Southern Cross tiles.


The Blue Room Suite has a double bed and room for a single bed. This room looks both ways onto bushland and our famous walled garden which is lit in the evenings. The blue colour scheme continues with Italian tiles in the en suite.
