Activities/Attractions: Morro Bay is located on the Pacific Coast of California about half way between San Francisco and Los Angeles near Hearst Castle and the Big Sur Coast. Morro Bay is a working fishing village. Its famous landmark, Morro Rock, was named by Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo when he first charted this coast during his 16th Century voyage of discovery.
The town is a pleasant tourist destination which has very mild weather all year long. There is no such thing as traffic in Morro Bay, unless, of course, you count birds, sea mammals, and fish!
Morro Bay consists of three unique California Central Coast communities: Morro Bay, Cayucos and Los Osos. At the end of scenic Highway One is Estero Bay. The area has become famous for its beautiful state parks, bird estuary’s, and the distinct Morro Rock. Tourists and locals both enjoy a variety of activities in the area including:
... or just relaxing and enjoying the sunset. Besides the nature and recreation of Estero Bay, there are also fine restaurants, and unique shops.
"My husband and I went to Breakers for our honeymoon and it was ROMANTIC! The view was outstanding overlooking the ocean and the fireplace in the bedroom put the romantic touch! I highly recommend this little touch of romance in Morro Bay."
"We stayed for Fathers Day Not knowing what to expect. We have now been back twice since. The furniture is beautiful. The help at the front desk was great. Thank you for a great experience."
"We stayed at the Breakers on our honeymoon and have come back each year since. The staff has always been friendly, the rates are very reasonable, the rooms are very clean and every one has a wonderful view of the bay. The Breakers Motel is close to shopping and restaurants. We have told our family and friends about our treasure."
"Clean and staff very courteous - nice location, close enough to walk to shops and such and nice view. Would stay again!
"The staff was very friendly and helpful. The view of the Rock (from 2nd and 3rd floors) is great ... The location is EXCELLENT - just go down the stairs across the street and you are on the main shopping/restaurant strip. It was a very good value."
"Great value. Friendly staff. Superb view for the price. Nice and clean ... 2nd and 3rd floor views are terrific."
"I've stayed at this hotel several times and have always enjoyed my visits. The view from the 3rd floor is amazing and being within walking distance of the Embarcadero is very important. The beds are top-notch and the room decor is very tasteful and homey."

"I go to Morro Bay every year and I refuse to stay anywhere else other than Breakers. It's just what you need for a pleasant stay in Morro Bay. We stay on the second story each time and the view can't be beat ... It's a comforting environment with polite pleasing staff members. Worthy of return. I'd stay nowhere BUT The Breakers Motel in Morro Bay. Right by the staircase leading to the Embarcadero, across from Dorn's, a great restaurant, and a trolley stop right outside the parking lot."
"We love the location of this hotel - right at the top of the staircase in Morro Bay. It is super convenient and the view is great."
"My Wife, my Daughter(7years old) and myself spent 2 nights here stopover on the way up from Los Angeles to San Francisco and really enjoyed our stay. The Motel is in a great location for the Harbour and all the shops and restaurants. plenty of good tourist shops and nice little places to eat, wherever we ate the fish was delicious freshest we had eaten. Enjoyed the swimming pool (couldn't get my Daughter out) and jacuzzi. The staff in the Hotel were very friendly and our room was always cleaned to a high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Morro Bay it was a great way to chill out after a couple of days in Disneyland and battling the L.A. traffic."
