"We stayed for four nights in one of the cottages, and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The owner/hosts were always helpful and friendly, and seem very dedicated to providing excellent lodging. The continental breakfast was very nice, and the fresh home made muffins were terrific! We did get to take advantage of the hot tub one night, and it was very relaxing. There are many interesting places, most notably Acadia and Bar Harbor, within an easy drive from here, so our four days went by in a flash. Highly recommended!"
"Our cottage was adorable - we each had a double bed in our respective bedrooms, and our own flat-screen TVs. The bathroom was our "common" area. The Open Hearth has a lovely Continental breakfast for those staying in a cottage: fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, cereal and most importantly wonderful homemade muffins. There's also a beautiful brand new jacuzzi that is open every night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The owners, Chuck and Sue, are extremely accommodating and offer great tips on seeing the area. All in all, a wonderful value for the dollar and definitely the nicest cottage I've stayed in the Bar Harbor/Acadia region. We'd go back in a minute!"
"We stayed in a cozy cottage. And cozy it was. The cottages are great value for money and add to the whole Trenton/Bar Harbor experience."
"My husband and I stayed in one of the vintage (but updated) cottages and loved it. Breakfast was very good with fresh muffins, fruit, juice, hard boiled eggs. The owners are very hospitable and helpful, suggesting places to eat, things to see, etc. Highly recommend."
"The Open Hearth Inn offers different kinds of accommodation. I chose the B and B-version. Had an old-fashioned, charming bedroom-living room-combination and a fantastic three course breakfast included. Hosts are very helpful and made my stay even better."

"The hosts are wonderful and very helpful. We were first timers at Acadia National Park and Sue and Chuck guided us with a superb map and suggestions for our adventures each day. They provided the finest breakfasts we have enjoyed at all of the inns and B&B's in our travels in many countries, places and times. They have a wonderful hot tub which the guests found very relaxing each evening. We met some nice folks in "the tub". We enjoyed our 6 night stay immensely."
"My boyfriend and I stayed here in one of the B&B suites in mid July for 3 nights and we both loved it. I booked it because it was cheaper than staying in Bar Harbor and boasted a great breakfast every morning (for B&Bers) at a very fair price of about $90 per night. Sue and Chuck are absolutely fabulous. They are the nicest people in the world and will do anything to make you comfortable. Also since it's a small property, you will get lots of personalized attention. This was one of the best - if not the best - experiences I've had at an inn this size."
"We had a very enjoyable stay at the Open Hearth Inn. The ambiance of the cabin was as if you were in your own little log cabin. Chuck and Sue Starr, owners, were very personable and very helpful when it came time to suggestions of where to go and what to see. The hot tub was a plus, especially after a long day of rigorous activity. I would recommend staying at the Open Hearth Inn and will definitely tell my friends about it."
"We stayed in Cottage #9 for three nights. It was very attractive and very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was very nice as well. I particularly liked the chocolate muffins. We enjoyed the hot tub one night. I wish I could find a place this nice and reasonable everywhere we travel."
