General Information: John and Mary Lynn Vassar, the proprietors and operators of Wisteria Garden Bed and Breakfast, welcome you to Marshall, Texas. Their historic home contains four spacious guest bedrooms on the second floor that was added to the original structure in 1898-99, and two parlors and a dining room with seating for sixteen guests. A gazebo overlooks the garden and is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while enjoying an East Texas sunrise. John and Mary Lynn are the third family of owners of the home and want to extend an invitation to visit Wisteria Garden and enjoy their hospitality. The Wisteria Garden Bed and Breakfast is a non smoking, pet free inn where children are welcome.
The Parlor has been used to entertain guests from 1884 to present day. It features 1920's sofa and chairs, 1930's Piecrust table with lamp for reading, and Wing back chairs. Features include original mantle over fireplace with blue tile accent and two party windows. This room has been a welcomed center to guest for over 123 years. Feel like royalty as you dine at the nineteenth century oak, flute-legged table. You will enjoy meals served on lovely rose patterned china and at Christmas you will be served on our beautiful Christmas wear. An original leaded glass chandelier compliments the room. The chandelier features a 1918-1927 Hunter Dinner Fan which is fully functional. Payment Accepted: Visa, MasterCard.
