There is much to see in Wiltshire including heritage sights, castles, churches, parks, museums, and more. Wiltshire itself has a mysterious and magical past, rich in the history of early man. The stone circles of Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain, Avebury between Devizes and Swindon, both World Heritage Sites. Then there's Silbury Hill, West Kennet Long Barrow, Wood Henge, Old Sarum, various castles. And crop circles. Melksham lies about thirteen miles south of Junction 17 of the M4, on the A350 ... putting it just to the south of the Cotswolds and north of the Mendips. Near to Bath, Bristol, the villages of Castle Combe & Lacock, Melksham is an ideal base for touring the area. Melksham is surrounded by a wealth of historical sites and is perfectly situated for access to Cornwall and the South West, the South Coast, the Midlands and London. Stornoway House is superbly situated close to Bath, Chippenham, Bradford on Avon, Chippenham and Devizes. There are plenty of good pubs and restaurants within 2-3 miles including the well known gastro pub "The Pear Tree" and "The Sign Of The Angel" in Lacock.

General Information: Welcome to Stornoway House Bed and Breakfast Farmhouse in Melksham, Wiltshire, England ... offering luxury farmhouse B&B accommodation with a definite equestrian theme. We are situated just 20 minutes south of the M4, just off the A350 on the outskirts of the market town of Melksham. Situated close by are the historical villages Lacock, (home of J.K Rowling's Hogwart's School), the Roman City of Bath and picturesque Bradford on Avon. Chippenham and Devizes are also within 8 miles. We offer two rooms, each is tastefully decorated and full of home comforts with a little luxury thrown in. There is a definite equestrian theme with paintings of horses adorning most walls.
Breakfast is taken in the conservatory between 8.30 and 9.30 and will include a full Wiltshire breakfast, cereals, fruit, and toast.
