Activities/Attractions: When most people think of Talladega, they immediately think of the Talladega Superspeedway, the largest and fastest speedway in the world. But in addition to the fast track, Talladega is home to a lovely downtown with its historic Talladega Ritz Theater, and Cheaha State Park, where you’ll find boundless recreational opportunities as well as the highest point in Alabama. It’s also home to a unique brand of Southern hospitality experienced by hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.

River Rest Bed and Breakfast is only an hour from Birmingham, and less than two hours from Montgomery and Huntsville. If you are visiting the lakeside retreat from Atlanta, you can leave work at 5 p.m. and be watching the sun go down over the lake by 6:30 p.m. (Remember, you gain an hour traveling from the Eastern Time Zone to the Central Time Zone so you have 60 more minutes to unwind and enjoy the countryside.)
