Hosts: Katie and George Hoy Guestrooms: 6 Address: 8230 Brandywine Road, Sagamore Hills, Ohio 44067-2810 USA Click here for location. Telephone: 330-467-1812, Fax: (330) 467-2162 Activities/Attractions: Sagamore Hills is located in Summit County, Northern Ohio, and is home to just over 9,000 residents. Akron, Canton, and Summit County, due south of greater Cleveland, are home to a variety of attractions, including the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Stan Hywet Hall, and the First Ladies National Historic Site. In addition, Akron is a vibrant and vital city, filled with excellent restaurants, interesting art galleries, and exciting nightlife. Some of the current historical sites within Sagamore hills include parts of the trails in Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area and Brecksville Reservation. Cuyahoga Valley National Park extends from just south of I-480 all the way to Akron, along the Cuyahoga River. The scenic area offers history, hiking, bicycling, winter sports, and all sorts of learning opportunities. What's more: it's free. Guest enjoy countless options for entertainment and dining: entertainment in sports, (biking, skiing, golf... to name a few), the arts, shopping ... even amusement parks. Dining opportunities nearby range from "the greatest burger" to 5-star venison. Often, however, Inn guests decide to stop running for a day or two - to walk; to listen to nature; to visit; to watch the fire dance; to read; to doze; or to watch the bread rise in anticipation of its ceremony in the ovens. The hosts truly love their work, and they've been doing it very well for 18 years. The Inn was originally built in 1848 and beautifully restored by the current owners. We stayed in the Loft - a suite in a small building next to the main inn. This little barn used to be the chicken house and has been converted into two artistically rustic suites with luxurious amenities including a jacuzzi tub, woodstove and a wall of windows and skylights. The Main Inn has one other suite and 3 smaller rooms. One benefit to being close to "civilization" is the wide variety of restaurants available within a few minutes drive, and the hosts provide a list of recommendations. If you're looking for a getaway close to the city, in a beautiful location, hosted by truly happy people, I cannot recommend this inn highly enough." "This Inn has the most beautiful setting on the edge of the Cleveland Metro Parks. This century home is a Bed and Breakfast. Just steps away you can walk down to Brandywine Falls a very picturesque spot to take pictures. Stay overnight at the Inn and enjoy breakfast made by the Hoy's." "The Inn at Brandywine Falls is a really unique bed and breakfast. Located on the edge of the Metro Parks it's just the perfect setting for this lovely old century home. The Brandywine Falls are just steps away with it's breathtaking views. You'll love staying here and having the Hoy's fix you a wonderful country breakfast." |
"It's hard to imagine a more wonderful place. An immaculately restored 1848 Greek Revival farmstead, loaded with lovely furniture that looks as if it came straight from a museum, beautifully situated in a storybook setting in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park...," and with regard to hospitality, "Nobody does it better..." |

Outstanding breakfast that was 100% home made. Hosts have been in the business for about 18 years and really know how to make you feel comfortable and make your stay memorable. Most advertising is word of mouth and all rooms were filled mid-week, testimony to how the good word has spread. The hosts treat you like family (if you have a family that treats you good); the farm setting is charming, the property is antique and renovated; rooms are filled with antiques and charming items; the park is spectacular, hiking trails and the falls are next to the property; and the breakfast was wonderful - they even made their own blueberry syrup. We would stay there again and if travelling through would try to schedule our trip just to spend the night at the Inn. We left feeling we made new friends." |
