Activities/Attractions: Kingsbridge is a small market town in southern Devon situated between Plymouth, to the west, Torbay to the east and Dartmoor to the north and is truly the central hub in which to explore this beautiful area. Golf, walking, and sailing are popular activities for visitors. Kingsbridge is still a vibrant working town, not just a holiday centre, and has a varied selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs which are open all year. The lovely beaches and spectacular scenery in and around Kingsbridge are also notable attractions.

At Hazelwood we put the earth first. The resulting unspoiled natural beauty of the Hazelwood valley provides a haven for a wide range of wildlife with birds, deer and foxes among its residents. At night under clear starry skies the silence is only broken by the sound of the river and the call of the night creatures. Come for a bracing riverside walk before enjoying a warming lunch although it's always best to book beforehand!

General Information: Welcome to Hazelwood House ... a gracious country house offering comfortable accommodation in Kingsbridge (Avon Valley), South Devon, one of the UK’s designated 'areas of outstanding natural beauty'. We offer an "at home" ambience that only a true country house can provide. At the heart of Hazelwood lies the aim to provide 'hospitality' in its original sense.

Set above a river in 67 acres of unspoilt woodland near to Kingsbridge, South Devon and close to several of the UK’s award winning beaches, this early Victorian country house has flexible accommodation ranging from the rustic to the more salubrious. There are 14 bedrooms offering accommodation on a simple overnight B&B basis through to holidaying families to South Devon and couples wishing to marry in a rural, country house setting.
