Activities/Attractions: The seaside village of Vineyard Haven, which is also known as Tisbury, is the main entry point to the island of Martha's Vineyard. Nestled in a cove that was once the site of a prominent whaling station, this town is a popular summer vacation destination, but attracts the adventurous year-round.

The first recorded settlement was in 1669 and incorporated as a town on April 28, 1892. We are home to many acres of State Forest, scenic beaches, rich farm land and have many historical structures still in use today. We continue to retain much of the rural atmosphere and neighborly sense of community that made us notable.

Excellent shops, fine restaurants, and a beautiful harbor are only a few of the attractions that make Vineyard Haven so special to tourists and residents alike.

"We are always warmly greeted and made to feel at home by the owners Scott and Kell. The new dining room that they added is both elegant and comfortable. Chef Joe DaSilva is an artist and his food is always cooked to perfection. Our favorite dishes are the scallops, tuna and Chilean sea bass."

General Information: Welcome to The Lambert's Cove Inn & Restaurant ... known as one of the most romantic retreats on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. Situated on 7 acres of spacious lawns, gardens, forest and meadowlands in the pastoral town of West Tisbury, it offers tranquility and seclusion. As you follow the winding road, shaded by towering trees, that leads to the inn, you'll know when you arrive, that you have indeed found a very special place.

Lambert’s Cove Inn has fifteen guest rooms located in three buildings. The main house has seven guest rooms as well as our 70 seat restaurant. The Carriage House and Guest House each have four guest rooms and are located approximately 75 yards from the main building.

"We can't imagine staying anywhere else on the island. This place is top notch in every respect. Beautifully decorated, thoughtfully appointed and immaculate. Outdoors is a rare treat - lovely gardens, lush landscaping and even a pool which blends perfectly into the environment. We book our stays well in advance and are eagerly anticipating our summer vacation! We last stayed there for their New Year's event - fabulous. The warmth of this Inn more than compensated for the chilly January temperatures outdoors."
