"Have just returned from a 2 night break at Ashbourne House. A very friendly welcome awaited us and the owners Paul and Julie were very helpful with any request we had, whether it be directions, recommendations or personal taste. If they did not know the answer they would find out and get back to us. Our accommodation was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was first class and set you up for the day. Would definitely return again."

"Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were excellent and set us up for the day. We were a 15 minute gentle walk into York either by the road or by the river. Bus services were every 15 minutes from a stop across the road. Hosts were very helpful for advise where to go for meals in the evening .A local pub did excellent bar food and we dined in the local Indian for 2 nights as it was so good."
"A lovely, spotlessly clean B&B with some nice original features, conveniently located for sightseeing in York city centre (a pleasant 15 minute walk or a quick bus ride away). The new owners are extremely friendly and helpful, and they serve up a mean breakfast! We enjoyed our stay very much - thank you."
