General Information: Welcome to Villa Hikaru in Treasure Beach, Jamaica ... our private beachfront home located in a peaceful, un-touristy fishing village. We invite you to come share it. In this unspoiled area, homes are known by name because there's no street address. We chose a Japanese word, Hikaru (pronounced he-CAR-oo), that means "sparkling, shining." That describes the climate well.

From our shaded patio, you'll enjoy a wide panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea. Plantings of tropical fruits and beautiful flowers on our secluded, acre-plus grounds assure your privacy. But you can also visit with fishermen-neighbors we've known for 30 years; they can take you on a fishing or sight-seeing trip, or you can just sit and "reason" (talk) with them.

• There are four screened, overhead-fanned bedrooms
  
• The bedrooms open on to a wide shaded patio that catches the near-constant sea breeze
  
• Inside is a living room and dining area that seats eight
  
• We have a telephone, Internet connection and fax at the house
  
• Just below the patio is a sheltered sunning terrace
  
• You'll be looked after by Miss Vanessa, our housekeeper and (superb!) cook, as if you were family
