Activities/Attractions: Longborough is a small village in the Cotswold Hills with around 250 houses, a school, a 12th century Church, a village shop and two pubs. Though near a host of popular Cotswolds tourist destinations and transportation routes, Longborough has remained blessedly peaceful and undisturbed.

The village is spread out on the slopes of a hill above the broad valley of the Evenlode only a few miles northwest of Stow on the Wold and just off the A429 Fosse Way.

The most notable building in the village is the parish church of St James. This is a 12th century building with Norman underpinnings, featuring a 13th century tower with striking 15th century pinnacles. Inside, there is a beautifully  carved Jacobean memorial to William and Elizabeth Leigh, and an effigy of a 14th century knight in armour. A mechanical clock (17th century) is on display in the Sezincote Chapel, which is in the north transept.

• Half a mile away is the historic village of Longborough, with its attractive huddle of 17th-century stone cottages

General Information: Welcome to Windy Ridge House B&B in Gloucestershire, England ... traditional Cotswold hospitality set in an area of outstanding natural beauty - conveniently located in the heart of the Cotswolds, near to Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, Broadway, Cheltenham and Cirencester.

Windy Ridge is a small country estate, situated high in the Cotswold hills, overlooking the Evenlode Valley. This beautiful family home displays some wonderful features, mullioned windows, gables and Norfolk reed thatched roofs. Visitors here are offered generously furnished bedrooms and a large pine-panelled sitting room.
