While we are proud of our spectacular settings surrounded in beautiful outcroppings of rock, pristine lakes and rolling forested hills, we can also boast of the beautiful winding Gull River running through our downtown - Village of Minden.
Minden Hills, the amalgamated name for the respective Townships of Anson, Hindon and Minden, Lutterworth and Snowdon, has been an escape for travelers and city dwellers for many years, escaping to a clean, relaxing and uncluttered lifestyle. General Information: Welcome to The South Wind Motel and Campground ... not just a roadside motel but a country adventure in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands of Ontario, Canada. Located on 131 acres of woods, ponds and trails, we are the perfect accommodations for your visit to Minden (6km), Kinmount (10km) or Haliburton (18km). From easy and beautiful rail line rides to the famous Miserable Lake challenge we will help you plan a ride you will never forget.
We have rooms of all sizes, for all needs. And we have an inground swimming pool where you can get cooled off! We offer access to the main ‘B’ ATV and snowmobile trail. From the motel enjoy miles of breathtaking Haliburton trails with views of all kinds of wildlife and terrain. Get your maps and trail passes right here, and after a great ride we offer an ATV wash area and laundry facilities as well as acres of parking. We have a good variety of clean, comfortable accommodations.
