"We wanted an inexpensive hotel, nothing fancy, but decent and clean. We spent most of our time hiking and exploring the park and island and just wanted a place to sleep that was convenient to the park and Bar Harbor. The Acadia Pines was a great choice. This a great choice for those on a budget or just wanting to save money on their hotel costs. Staff was friendly and helpful as well."
"They gave us a room with a kitchenette and very nice size at a reasonable price. We had a great week. The location was great we were near everything we wanted to see. The room was always cleaned properly. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone."
"The Acadia Pines is an excellent low price motel with a convenient location, four miles from the center of Bar Harbor and 2 miles from the entrance to Acadia National Park. We stayed there for 4 nights. The motel is very clean, our room was comfortable, the premises are well maintained and the staff is very helpful. The rooms are far enough off the highway to be very quiet."
"I must say I was very impressed with how clean the room was! I wasn't sure what to expect paying 80.00 per night (I think that is cheap). Our room was the cleanest we ever stayed in. If we ever get back to Maine we will be staying there again."
"Between the 6 wooded acres and the 48' heated pool surrounded by trees (can't see the pool from the road), you can't beat this price. It was very clean and had cute white wicker furniture in addition to the bed and bureau. If you can get these prices on such pretty property with a heated pool like this one anywhere on Mt. Desert Island, I'd like to know where it is!"

"The staff was very pleasant and helpful both on the phone and at the motel. The place was very moderately priced and was very clean and comfortable. The rooms are roomy and have plenty of bureau space and closet space. It looked like the owners had done a makeover and it was very tasteful. They gave us recommendations for local restaurants that turned out to be excellent choices."
"Stayed at Acadia Pines for the first time this summer. We were very happy with the size of the room. Very clean and comfortable. The pool was wonderful, large by motel standards and clean and refreshing. It sits behind a building so it can't be seen by the road, surrounded by trees, very private. The staff in the office were friendly and helpful. Although the motel is on the main road you wouldn't know it, with all the tall trees and grass, it's a very relaxing place. People were BBQing and using their camp stoves for breakfast outside. Adirondack chairs and lawn swings were perfect. Would definitely stay again."
