Activities/Attractions: Negombo is a beautiful beach resort on the western coast of Sri Lanka, just a short drive north of Colombo. As it is also very close to the airport, Negombo is a convenient place to either begin or end your trip to Sri Lanka. You can relax on beautiful beaches, view incredible sunsets and enjoy western and Sri Lankan food. Sea food is very popular and is caught fresh daily by Negombo fishermen.   

Samyama offers the opportunity to retreat, albeit temporarily, from our hectic, frenzied, chaotic world. Samyama transports you to an environment of tranquility, peace and support. it is envisaged that your experience here will revive, restore and help you deal skillfully within your normal everyday life.

Wake up to the sound of the waves on the beach, and the early morning chorus of the birds. Samyama is situated on the beach in a garden setting. To end your day you can go for long walks (for miles) on the totally deserted beach or meditate on the magnificent sunset from the balcony.

Swim in our luxury swimming pool or have an Ayurvedic massage. Stay at the centre is on a full board basis. Meals are mostly vegetarian, fresh seafood is also available. This is unlike your usual yoga retreats, peace and tranquility can be had with comfort and luxury.

General Information: Welcome to the Bed and Breakfast Boutique Hotel Samyama ... newly completed and ideal for anyone who wants to retreat, rest, recuperate away from the stresses of everyday life. We are on a very quiet beach in Negombo, Sri Lanka in a garden setting - no hawkers - just a short distance from the capital city of Colombo.

Ideal for stop over, only ½ hour from the airport yet we are on the beach. This is a very tranquil, and relaxing place, away from the hassle of Colombo. It is a home away from home offering comfy beds, good food, swimming pool, and European standards of hygiene.

• Samyama has 8 twin bedrooms and 2 singles and is also available to yoga/art groups for rent
