Activities/Attractions: Balestrino is a municipality in the Province of Savona in the region of Liguria, located about 70 km southwest of Genoa and about 30 km southwest of Savona.

Dominated by the 16th century castle of the Earls of Carretto, Balestrino, is a medieval village located 5 kms inland of Loano. Its many hills and olive groves offer gorgeous views of the Mediterranean Sea to the south and luscious mountains to the north.

The Italian province of Savona is situated in the region of Liguria on the North-Western coast of Italy. Savona, the capital of the region of Savona, is the home to around 60,000 residents who live mostly on tourism and port. The port of Savona is the major transportation hub for ferries in the Mediterranean.

The coastal section of the border with the region of Imperia up to Genoa is called The Riviera because of its many palm trees. A trip to the province of Savona can include a meeting with unspoiled nature in well-known nature reserves Loanese, Val Bormida, Parco del Beigua and Alpi del Savonese and Finalese.
