Activities/Attractions: Venice is one of Italy's top travel cities and a beautiful, romantic destination with many attractions. Its small, traffic-free streets along the winding canals make for great walking. You'll find many magnificent churches and palaces, lively squares, and interesting shops.

One of the best things to do in Venice is to take some time wandering along the canals off the main tourist track. Venice has many fine attractions and museums. Famous attractions include:

• San Marco Square - the main square of Venice surrounded by chic sidewalk cafes and fancy shops
  
• Saint Mark's Basilica - a beautiful church blending the architecture of East and West consecrated in 832 AD
  
• Doge's Palace - the most impressive building in Venice and well worth a tour. It was the political and judicial hub of Venetian government until the fall of the Venetian Republic in 1797
  
• Grand Canal - the main thoroughfare of Venice. It's full of all kinds of boats and lined with beautiful buildings
  
• Rialto Bridge - the main bridge crossing the Grand Canal in the heart of Venice, is over 400 years old
  
• Galleria del'Accademia is one of Italy's best art museums with 24 rooms in 3 historic buildings

General Information: Welcome to La Villeggiatura (Maison de Charme) located in the heart of Venice, Italy ... just a few steps away from the Grand Canal and the famous Rialto market, and a short stroll from some of the world’s most beautiful sites: Piazza San Marco, Teatro la Fenice, the Accademia, Museo Cà Pesaro and the Cà d'Oro.

The name La Villeggiatura is taken from the title of a famous play by Goldoni, and the name of each room refers to the musical, theatrical, cinematic or artistic heritage of Venice. This fully restored, luxurious apartment has one junior suite, three large bedrooms, and two romantic loft suites. The first four bedrooms retain traditional Venetian flooring, while the loft suites have modern parquet flooring and are full of light. The apartment boasts stunning views of the bell tower of San Cassiano and across the rooftops of Venice. Features include:

"Stayed in the "Turandot" room and were very satisfied with everything. Service was polite and everything was clean and comfortable. A continental breakfast was also included and was nice. Got a lovely family run B&B feel to it and was a lovely experience waking up with the sounds of a residential neighbourhood in Venice."

"If you want to stay in a unique place, away from the usual tourist crowds in Venice, this is a very romantic B&B. All rooms different and furnished with mostly antiques. Great ceilings with beams. We stayed in the "Casanova" room, allowing us to peep at the San Cassiano spire over the roofs. Very attentive service. Good location, less than 5 minutes from the Rialto."
