Activities/Attractions: We live in a beautiful part of the country, and are happy to be able to offer groups of 50 or more the speaking services of resort owner Jimmy Vaughan. Mr. Vaughan gives, at no charge, 30-60 minute talks on the sights, history, and floral and faunal diversity of the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area, Brevard, N.C. “Land of Waterfalls”, Dupont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest. Across the highway from our driveway, you will find the second tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi River. Around us are over 100 miles of hiking trails. These trails accommodate all hikers, regardless of skill level, allowing you to pick what's best for you.

In the evening, you can sit on the porch or deck and watch the day end. You could choose to cook out on the nice grill outside each cabin. At night, you can look down our driveway and see towns light up for miles: at almost 3100 feet of elevation, you are looking down on a lot of country. We are the highest elevation lodging in the entire state of South Carolina.

General Information: Welcome to Cabins of Foxfire Mountain near Brevard, North Carolina in the Mountain Bridge Wilderness ... by far the best place for honeymooners, anniversary and birthday get-a-ways and tops as a vacation destination! We are surrounded by 3 wilderness state parks in South Carolina and 2 just behind our mountain in North Carolina. The Pisgah National Forest is just NW of us a few miles.

We are located on top of one of the tallest privately owned peaks on the NC/SC border outside of Brevard, NC. We are the premier place in the area with one and two bedroom cabins set in a secluded, romantic setting. For culture, there is Asheville, NC and the Biltmore House, Greenville, SC and its famous downtown, as well as Hendersonville, NC with its noted shopping. We have three sizes of cabins. The small and mid-size cabins are perfect for couples or couples with small children.

• One Room Cabin with Loft: Features a Queen bed and Full-Size mattress in the loft area. Perfect for small children. Small kitchen and dining table that seats 4. Nice bathroom with tub/shower
  
• One Bedroom Cabin: Features a Queen bed in the bedroom and a sofa in the small living room that folds out to a Full-size bed. Great for 2 adults - room enough for 2 small children. Nice bathroom with shower. Small efficiency kitchen
  
• Two Bedroom Cabin: Features a Queen bed in the master bedroom, twin beds in the opposite bedroom, and a Queen size sofa sleeper in the living room. There is a full kitchen with a dining table that seats 4. This cabin can accommodate up to 6 persons
  
• Some of the cabins have waterfall features so you can go to sleep listening to the water. All you need to bring from home is your own bath towels and a bar of soap
  
• Each cabin has a picnic table and a nice grill outside. You will need to bring charcoal and a lighter. There is a state law against any other fires on the ground in this area
  
• Each cabin has a kitchen with a microwave, toaster and a Mr. Coffee
  
• The queen beds have electric mattress warmers for our chilly nights in addition to electric heat in all cabins
  
• We have one large cabin with a gas log fire place
