01995 602402, Activities/Attractions: Situated in the North West of England, the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) covers 312 sq miles of rural Lancashire and North Yorkshire and includes the famous landmark Pendle Hill. The Forest of Bowland AONB offers plenty of opportunity for quiet enjoyment such as walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding, and with newly opened Access Land, can now offer some of the most remote and rugged walking in the North West. Broadgate Farm is situated on the edge of The Bowland Area, we are surrounded by panoramic views of the local hills and fells, to the south we have Beacon Fell, then the hills surrounding us are Parlick, Fairsnape, and Hazelhurst. From the front bedroom windows of the farmhouse we can also see Geoffrey Hill, Preston and on clear days the Welsh hills in the distance. Broadgate consists of generally farm land which is criss-crossed with stone walls and footpaths. The hill situated immediately to the south of Broadgate Farm is Beacon Fell which has open aspects to all the local areas from the many walks available some of which are suitable for a "Tramper". It is also within easy walking distance from Broadgate Farm.
