Montréal is truly an experience: old world charm, French joie de vivre and a modern style all its own. The city is one of Canada's most unique and lively cities, offering a perfect blend of the old and new. It is also the second largest French speaking city in the world after Paris. Culturally, there are few cities that beat it. Montreal has many attractions tourist will want to visit including amusement parks, zoos, popular landmarks, museums, historic districts, water parks and more. Among its more internationally renowned attractions are:

  • Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, a comedy show that attracts thousands every year
  • The Montreal Jazz Festival, which features around 400 different shows and attracts jazz greats from around the world
  • The Notre Dame Basilica, one of the largest cathedrals in North America
  • Shoppers will swoon at the sight of Montreal's downtown core, which has over 3,000 shops and services, most of which are conveniently centered around Ste-Catharine Street
  • The Montreal Casino
  • The Underground City - the world's largest underground pedestrian network shelters Montrealers from both the scorching heat of summer and the frigid winter winds
  • Mount Royal
  • Olympic Stadium - built for the 1976 Olympic Games, Montreal's Olympic Stadium was one of the first sports stadiums to be capped with a plastic dome roof
  • Biodome - housed in a former stadium used in the 1976 Olympics, the educational and entertaining Biodome consists of four different ecological habitats
  • Museum of Archaeology and History - discover the history of Montreal in an unusual way at this fascinating museum located on the actual site of the original colony in 1642
  • Botanical Gardens (Jardin Botanique de Montreal) - located near Olympic Park, Montreal's huge botanical garden contains over 20,000 different plant species

"This place is where to go if you want to feel like you actually live in Montreal. They have actually apartments for your stay. The prices are alot cheaper then the hotels around it in the old port of Montreal. The apartments have everything you could need, washer/dryer ... even hair dryers and irons. This is the only place I stay in Montreal."

"We were pleasantly surprised by the size and the location of this place. It's in the center of the hub of old Montreal. It's clean you can't hear the neighbours."

"We had a wonderful time in Montreal and the "Habitation du Vieux Montreal" was the perfect place for us to stay. It is exactly like having your own apartment."

"This is located perfectly in Old Montreal. Walk out the front door into the hustle and bustle of this beautiful city. Everything is close by, we parked our car and didn't touch it till we left. The metro is close by if you want to travel around the city more extensively."

"What a wonderful little place in the heart of Old Montreal. Extremely clean and quiet!"
