Activities/Attractions: Mt. Washington is Vancouver Island's premier winter sports centre. With over 1600 acres of skiable terrain, it has something to offer even the most demanding skier or snowboarder. Steep and deep for the serious enthusiast, wide and gentle groomers for the more relaxed, this mountain has it all. And lots of it, boasting an average annual snowfall of over 600 cm.

Miles of cross-country and snowshoeing trails provide either a strenuous workout or a relaxing wander through the forest. This is the gateway to beautiful Strathcona Park, with it's immense peaks, sparkling lakes, and deep valleys.

It's not just in the winter that Mt. Washington shines either. During the summer it becomes a mecca for mountain bikers and hikers, providing easy access to the alpine via two operating chairlifts. Take your bike to the top and enjoy the thrill of the downhill trails with their many features.

Ride the chair to the peak just to wander around the easy trails, enjoying the unbelievable 360 degree view over the Strait of Georgia, Desolation Sound, Strathcona Park, and nearly the entire east coast of Vancouver Island. Truly a vantage worth the ride. Hiking the trails of Strathcona Park is also extremely popular, there are several significant peaks within a day or two's walk.

General Information: Welcome to Bear Lodge Condominium on Mt. Washington ... a Ski Rental Condo located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. This mountainside condo is just 3 hours from the beautiful city of Victoria. It is one of the few truly "ski-in, ski-out" buildings on the mountain. Relax by the warm gas fireplace and gaze out at the pristine peaks of Strathcona Park. Or relax in the large spa only steps from the unit. The condo also includes such amenities as cappuccino maker, a barbeque, and a large selection of movies, books, and games.

The condo has a queen bed and ensuite. The kitchen is fully equipped and caters to every need. The condo also has large flat screen TVs in both the bedroom as well as the living room, which is also equipped with a home theatre system. With underground parking, you won't have to shovel or brush snow when it's time to leave. A large storage space is also available for skis and snowboards, just steps from the slopes.

• It is a one-bedroom unit, with a hideabed couch in the living room, allowing four people to stay comfortably

• This unit was designed as wheelchair accessible, with many appropriate features
