We provide guided horseback trail rides departing from our riding stables at Old Entrance along the scenic Athabasca River valley. A real western riding experience is provided with small groups of up to eight riders. Ride historic trails originally used by early explorers, trappers and forest rangers along the beautiful eastern slopes of the Rockies. These trails are over a variety of terrain; in the river valley, onto open foothill ridges with spectacular mountain views and through mature evergreen forests.

We provide competitively priced, high quality teepees of superior workmanship using the authentic Plains Indian pattern. Our teepees are made-to-order in sizes ranging from Size 10' increasing in increments of 2' up to Size 24' maximum.

"We arrived by the cross-country train from Toronto to Jasper, an awesome ride. We stayed four nights in the Grey Cabin before journeying down the Icefields Parkway to Banff and then on to Victoria/Vancouver. Jon has declared Old Entrance his favorite part of our trip. It was all wonderful. Wish we could do it again sometime."

"We keep returning because the place is just about the most peaceful vacation spot we have ever been to. There is a tranquility at Old Entrance that we have not found in other places that we have traveled to both in the United States and internationally. The accommodations are spotless and extremely comfortable. The breakfast is hearty and the conversation lively. The scenery is breathtaking. My husband likes to fly fish in the Athabasca River and we both like to take the trail ride on horseback. I enjoy sitting on the porch with a good book. Even my 18 year old son finds the atmosphere at Old Entrance very relaxing. If you are looking for a vacation to really unwind, Old Entrance is just the place!"
