Activities/Attractions: The Gaspe Peninsula (Gaspesie), is located on the eastern tip of the province of Quebec, north of New Brunswick. It is mostly a coastal region surrounded by the St. Lawrence estuary and gulf as well as by the Bay of Chaleur. The Gaspe Peninsula is 560 km from Montreal and 340 km from Quebec City by road.
The Coast region is located on the northwest side of the peninsula, this region is often referred to as the entrance of the Gaspesie region since it is the actual starting point for visitors coming from Montreal or Quebec City.
The Coast spreads along the St. Lawrence estuary and includes charming areas such as Mitis or Matane. Leave Hwy 132 to get to various charming municipalities filled with historical houses.
Renowned attractions of the region include the village of Metis-sur-Mer (popular vacation spot), wind generator plant in Saint-Ulric, the city of Matane where you can watch salmon anglers during the season, many covered bridges on Hwy 195 south of Matane, and Les Mechins with its impressive shipyard.
Saint Ulric is rich in historical and architectural heritage. For example, the neoclassical style church, which was built in 1878, is one of the most architecturally interesting churches in Eastern Québec.
Another heritage gem in Saint-Ulric is the Pierre-Carrier covered bridge, built in 1918 on the lands of the person after which it is named. This community restoration and conservation effort was rewarded in June 2000 when it received a heritage prize from the Conseil de la Culture du Bas-Saint-Laurent.
Where the Blanche River and the St. Lawrence River meet, on both sides of the bridge that crosses the rive, there are two very well maintained rest areas offering very nice public access to the beach. They are equipped with picnic tables, rest rooms among other things. Visitors travelling the Route Bleue circuit can access St-Ulric by the St. Lawrence river. Facilities are available at the old wharf in the heart of the village.

"Tony Carpinteri has built Tuscan villa and welcomes visitors to stay. The originality of this trip is that if one chooses the option night/dinner, you can, participate in the development of a typical Italian meal with the host in his beautiful kitchen while enjoying a glass of wine from the property. The atmosphere is friendly and you can share with other guests. There is also a center of "Vinotérapia" which exploits the beneficial properties of grape marc, grape must, grape seeds and wine, in the form of baths, massages or treatments to reduce the signs of aging or relax. Before leaving the villa, one can go to the boutique vineyard to stock up on wine, olive oil and balsamic vinegar especially selected and imported from Italy. This is a must!"
