Activities/Attractions: The town of Deal lies on the English Channel eight miles north-east of Dover. Its attractive mix of unspoilt seafront, delightful conservation area, small fishing fleet and vibrant High Street and shopping area make it one of the gems of the East Kent coast.
Deal is a thriving little seaside town with a good mix of individual shops, cafes, bars etc and a market on a Saturday morning. The pier in Deal has a licensed café at the end of it and we have golf courses again in Deal and nearby Sandwich. Sandwich is the venue for the 2011 Golf Open.
Very close by is Walmer Castle (once the family home of the Duke of Wellington). The Castle and gardens are open to the public and are managed by English Heritage. There is a lovely tea room serving home cooked food and using produce from the Castle garden. Sunday lunches are also available. Deal itself also has a Castle open to the public and at nearby Dover there is a splendid example of a Tudor castle built during the reign of Henry Eighth.
Canterbury with its magnificent Cathedral is approximately 20 miles away. Trains run from Deal to London on a regular basis and there is a good bus service from Deal to Canterbury and surrounding villages.
There are a wealth of attractions locally from historic buildings, gardens, zoos and shopping. 58 Wellington Parade is situated right on the Saxon Shore Way - a cycle/walking route that runs from Gravesend to Hastings and is 163 miles long. The most picturesque part of the walk is the cliff top stretch between Deal and Dover. The Saxon Shore Way was opened in 1980. There are four Roman forts along the route, Reculver, Richborough, Dover and Lympe.

We offer luxury accommodation, a warm welcome for you and your pet with beach access from the garden gate. While away the hours looking out to sea from the comfort of your room or guest lounge or step out onto the Saxon Shore Way for a coastal walk or cycle ride. Cycle hire available just along the beach.
Our dog friendly bed and breakfast has been designed with dog lovers in mind. We believe that just because you want to take your dog away with you you shouldn't have to stay in inferior establishments. Your dog is a big part of the family and a holiday away wouldn't be the same without him and why shouldn't he stay in nice surroundings too. We are ideally located for walking, cycling, golf or a day trip to France via ferry from Dover. Dog sitting or evening baby sitting can be arranged as can evening meals and transport to the ferry port if required.
