Activities/Attractions: The city of Edinburgh is renowned world-wide for its history, architecture, scenery and cultural attractions. Built on a set of hills, it is situated between the Firth of Forth to the north, the Pentland Hills to the south, and the council areas of East Lothian and West Lothian to the east and west.
Edinburgh is one of Europe's most beautiful cities, draped across a series of rocky hills overlooking the sea. It's a town intimately entwined with its landscape, with buildings and monuments perched atop crags and overshadowed by cliffs - in the words of Robert Louis Stevenson, 'a dream in masonry and living rock'.
From the Old Town's picturesque jumble of medieval tenements piled high along the Royal Mile, its turreted skyline strung between the black, bull-nosed Castle Rock and the russet palisade of Salisbury Crags, to the New Town's neat grid of neoclassical respectability, all columns and capitals, porticoes and pediments, the city offers a constantly changing perspective. And it's all small enough to explore easily on foot.

"The place is well located, you can go to so many touristic places by walking or just getting a bus; the staff are very warm, friendly and helpful; the rooms are really big and nice decorated, you can find a warm bed and all the things you will need in the room. The breakfast is huge and well prepared."
"Mother and daughter team keeps a warm and welcoming establishment. The rooms are a nice size, not at all too small if you compare with other places! It's quite near the center of town, a 10 minutes walk or by bus. The rooms are nicely decorated, everything is fresh and tasteful. The sweetest tartan rug in the hallway."
"My wife and I staid at Edinburgh House for 5 days/nights. We were very happy there. We had an excellent breakfast every day, a comfortable, quite room, the host is a very friendly, helpful lady, who has a good sense of humour. We would like to come back and we thank Ms. Rooney for the nice stay in her house!"
"Our first trip to Edinburgh, we had a great time 'the room was very clean and the breakfast was huge with a good selection."

"We travelled by car to Scotland from London. We did not pre book but asked upon arrival for availability. Was met by Mirella who was most helpful and obliging. Rooms were clean and comfortable and all the little extras you need while travelling."
