2622, Activities/Attractions: Richmond is one of the state’s most popular destinations ... the perfect base for exploring Tasmania’s South East - historic, romantic, family friendly, a hub for food and wine lovers with its fresh food and fine wines, grown in fertile soils under the world’s cleanest air. The town is as elegant today as it was in the 1820’s, when it was an important military staging post and convict station linking Hobart with Port Arthur. Nestled in the Coal River Valley, this classified historic town is famous for its Georgian architecture. The stone buildings now house galleries, teashops, craft boutiques and museums, offering every convenience and luxury to the modern visitor. Hatcher's Manor is the perfect base for day tours to premier locations including:
There are lambs to feed from August until October. Just wander the never ending rows of apricot trees or the coal river tracks and take in the history of the district and Woodburn Farm. Platypus reside in secret little nests in banks of the Coal River and if you are quite you can sometimes catch them swimming merrily just on dark or daybreak. Salamanca Market on every Saturday is just 20 minutes from Hatchers. Click
here for a list of things to do in the area. Our Main Conference building is 500 square meters with
large access entries from both ends of the building. The main
floor area can be separated into 2 sections. When set for
dinner Hatchers can serve up to 400 people on banquet tables
of 10 people per table. We have more than 30 years' experience in planning and
presenting perfect wedding ceremonies and we offer you a
range of superb venues and facilities to create a uniquely
special day, just for you. "I've been with my girlfriend on this property for three days and the one and only adjective to describe this place is 'awesome'!" "Had a great time. The service was excellent. Such nice people." |
