Activities/Attractions: Campden is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the UK. With easy road access, it is ideal for a full vacation or just a short break. The central, location in the North Cotswolds makes an ideal base for your accommodation for a touring holiday.
Chipping Campden is one of the loveliest small towns in the Cotswolds and a gilded masterpiece of limestone and craftsmanship. The main street curves in a shallow arc lined with a succession of ancient houses each grafted to the next but each with its own distinctive embellishments.
As the name suggests ("Chipping" means market or market place from the old English "Ceping"). Chipping Campden was one of the most important of the medieval wool towns and famous throughout Europe. This legacy of fame and prosperity is everything that give the town its character.
You can enjoy the delights not only of this charming old wool merchants' town, but also the nearby surrounding shire counties of Oxfordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. From Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds to the south, to Worcester and the Malverns to the west plus Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick (with the best medieval castle in Europe) all within an hour's journey.
Like a living time capsule, Chipping Campden has been
nurtured by six centuries of Cotswold craftsmen. Nestled in
the chocolate box Cotswold countryside you will find
architectural gems like St James Church, the Banqueting
House, Dovers Hill, the Almshouses and Market Hall, the Old
Silk Mill and one of the most picturesque High Streets in
"We have had a wonderful experience staying in the Court at Chipping Camden. The pictures on the website did not do justice to the beauty of the place. It is not a cottage but a historical house with lots of oil paintings, pictures and mementos, almost like a mini museum. We stayed in the large first floor room which has attached bathroom which overlooked the large garden with St James church in the background. Our children stayed in the smaller room on the 2nd floor with detached bathroom. There were apple trees in the garden. Nearby were buildings belonging to the National Trust which used to belong to the same family. Breakfast was traditional English breakfast with fresh strawberries and raspberries. Parking is on the curb opposite. And 5 mins to the Chipping Camden town centre. For us coming from Asia, it was indeed a unique and wonderful experience of staying in an English historical house."

"We stayed one night at this BnB that has been the home of Jane Glennie's family for generations. It is filled with beautiful artwork, antiques and family mementos. Jane is very hospitable and stepping into her home is like stepping into Jane Austin's England. We had a very large first floor bedroom with bath that looked out onto her beautiful floral gardens and backs onto the 17th century historical ruins of Jane's ancestors. The bed and furniture in the room were extremely comfortable. The breakfast featured the traditional English breakfast with a wonderful array of fresh fruit. The room was very quiet and we woke up to a sunrise over the mist covered fields beyond the gardens. We would have liked to have stayed more than the one day we did. We will definitely return here for a longer stay."
"The house is a beautiful historic property, very well maintained and comfortable. There are fantastic paintings on the walls, mixed in with the owners personal photos, which add a lovely homely touch. The owner is very welcoming and friendly. The room was nice, a good size, with an attached bathroom. Good supply of toiletries, water bottles, digital TV. Bed was very very comfortable. We were offered a good choice of breakfast options and it was all tasty. In the morning we had a chance to check out the gardens which were lovely. The B and B is a two minute walk from the centre of town so it is a perfect location. After staying here I would certainly consider booking a B and B again in the future, it was a nice change from the norm. I would certainly recommend The Court, if you are after a good value, personal, unique B and B."
