It’s just 10 miles south of Mackinaw City. Carp Lake is also the hub for Wilderness State Park, which offers visitors year round activities within its’ 8,000 acres of hardwood forests, numerous ponds and open meadows. It’s a popular spot for kayaking and boating, and in wintertime for cross-country skiing. The Park is also open to small and big game hunting in the fall and winter seasons. Carp Lake is just 15 minutes to Sturgeon Bay on Lake Michigan, which has beautiful beaches and sand dunes, and the gorgeous Victorian-era Mackinaw Island is another nearby attraction. General Information: Doll's Paradise Lake Resort in Carp Lake, Michigan is a small, but clean and quiet, resort located five miles south of Mackinaw City at the northern most tip of Michigan's lower peninsula. There are 14 units under one roof with facilities ranging from one and two bedroom overnights, to two room kitchenettes and three room efficiency apartments. Paradise Lake itself is 1900 acres and is known for its excellent fishing for walleye, rock bass, yellow perch, small and large mouth bass and Northern pike.
