Activities/Attractions: Thompson is a historic community found in the very northeast corner of Connecticut ... 50 miles from Hartford, 30 miles from Providence and 25 miles from Worcester. The 10 villages of Thompson include: East Thompson, Wilsonville, Fabyan, Quinebaug, Quaddick, Mechanicsville, Grosvenordale, North Grosvenordale, Thompson Hill, and West Thompson.

Here, the visitor can enjoy our municipal and State Parks, a state of the art Library and Community Center as well as the historic and still very active Thompson International Speedway.

Visitors bound for attractions such as Old Sturbridge Village (Sturbridge, MA) and Mystic Seaport (Mystic, CT) frequently pause in Thompson to enjoy its scenic charms. The picturesque Common is also the site of Thompson's original Town Hall, maintained by the local historical society, whose collection recounts our community's ethnic, agricultural and manufacturing past.

  • Quaddick Lake offers swimming, boating and fishing with the latter two also being available at the West Thompson Dam Recreational Site maintained by the Army Corps of Engineers

Our goal is simple: To create additional Manor guest rooms in the form of a summer house located on the Historic Thompson Green ( mile from Lord Thompson Manor).

Our six guest room cottages feature quiet color palettes of creams and whites, calming and comfortable, fresh and inviting. Simplicity in color and furnishing is the key to The Cottage House's success as a refreshing vacation destination. The six guestrooms include:
