Activities/Attractions: Located on Whitehead Street, The Banyan is surrounded by all the history and charm for which Key West is known. Duval Street, famous for it's restaurants, pubs and shops, is only a short walk away, as is Mallory Square, the home of Key West's famous sunset celebration.

The heart of Key West is the historic Old Town area, which runs from White Street west to the waterfront. Old Town also has the city's finest restaurants, lively street life, and popular nightspots. Take a taxi, rent a bicycle or moped, walk, or take a shuttle to get around.

"I recently visited Key West for the third time in six years, and I must say that the Banyan is an excellent resort. This is no multi tiered hotel, but a group of historic homes renovated into one and two bedroom units, each with its own personal touches (no two units are the same). The Banyan is located on Whitehead St, one block from Duval St, which is the Avenue of Entertainment for the Keys. The Banyan is not on a beach, but then again, there are no beaches of significant size in Key West (speaking in comparison with, for example, Panama City, FL). The rooms are renovated every 3 to 4 years, the location is excellent (The Green Parrot, my favorite bar, is a block and a half away), and there are two pools and a jacuzzi that are the center of the property. I loved it so much that I bought a week as a time share. If room is available, I strongly recommend that you check it out."

"I once stayed at the Banyan Resort in Key West Florida and it was one of the best experiences that I have ever had! I stayed in a 2 story condo that overlooked the Family Pool. It was awesome! We swam like 2 times everyday!! I suggest that anyone traveling to Key West should go there. Even though you must have a time share!"

"My husband and I stayed at the Banyan in July 2003. We stayed in one of the Historic Homes, loft bedroom. The grounds are immaculate and it's very private. We ate lunch and dinner on our private balcony. The pools and jacuzzi are great. Everyone is friendly and minds their own business. The Banyan has a B & B feel to it. Steps away from Duval St., short bike ride to the best beach on the island. We walked to Mallory Square everyday. The Banyan is classy, warm and has a historic charm to it. You will enjoy yourselves. You can party right down the street at the Bull and Whistle Bar. Then you can walk right back to the Banyan, no need to drive anywhere! Have a blast!"
