Activities/Attractions: Standing in sharp contrast to the bustling metropolises of Germany, Füssen, Germany is a remarkable town nestled at the foot of the Bavarian Alps. Tourism is quite strong here because of its amazing vistas and the remarkable historic attractions nearby. Two historic castles are also located nearby - Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein.

Füssen is the highest town in Bavaria, sitting at a lofty 808 meters (2,650 feet) above sea level. The river Lech, originating in Austria, flows through Füssen and adds further magic to the mountain town.

Weissensee offers everything from tennis, swimming, cycling, angling, and jogging to sailing, windsurfing, curling, inline skating, and a airgun shooting range. You can find all of these activities, which quicken the pulse of any sports enthusiast within 5 km: soar to new heights by parasailing, kite flying, and hang gliding as well as hot air ballooning.

In this magic winter wonderland, winter sports are lots of fun: Tobogganing, cross country skiing on
more than 40 km of track, hiking on ploughed roads, ice-skating, ice hockey and curling on Lake Weissensee. Even if you have already explored the immediate surroundings on foot or by bike, the question will not be what else there is to see but rather, what to see first!

General Information: Welcome to the Hotel Dreimäderlhaus, located directly on the shores of Lake Weissen, where only the lawn separates you from the water. Füssen and Pfonten are both 5 km away, while Neuschwanstein Castle can be reached within 10 minutes. We would like to invite you to experience the immense beauty of the eastern Allgaeu along the Romantic Road in Bavaria, Germany.

Leave the daily rat race behind and enjoy your well earned holidays in our family oriented atmosphere. At the Dreimäderlhaus, hospitality is always at the fore: be it during the fun-filled evenings BBQing on the terrace, or a comfortable supper next to the stove, or be it during one of the hikes, or even while tobogganing.

The Romantic Road, which runs across the countryside and features beautiful old walled towns, gorgeous meadows, and picturesque villages, comes to its end in Füssen ... and what an end it is. Looking out upon the hills and mountains of Germany is breathtaking, and you haven't even seen the castles yet.

"We stayed two nights here and loved the homelike atmosphere. It felt like staying at a friends house. It sits a little bit outside of Füssen away from the tourists, so it is absolutely quiet at night. The hotel sits right on a lake and the scenery is outstanding. Next door is a delicious Italian restaurant and across the street a Bavarian restaurant. The couple who run the hotel were very nice and helpful. Getting to the nearby castles was very easy, within a ten minute drive to Neuschwanstein. Breakfast consisted of a selection of meats, cheese spreads, cereals, fruit, yogurt and coffee or tea. It was very pleasant and quite. I plan to return one day to have more time to enjoy the lake and surrounding area."
