Activities/Attractions: The Fügen ski resort is situated amongst the beauty of the Tyrol valley. It is a wonderful little resort which offers visitors the opportunity to indulge in their favourite winter sport, as well as enjoy a relaxed Apres ski scene. The resort features a total of 19 lifts and 40km of cross-country skiing, predominantly equipped for intermediates.

There is also a well equipped ski school, which offers excellent facilities for beginners and children. The resort also caters well for snowboarders with a specialised boarding park and halfpipe. The Apre Ski scene is very relaxed and laid-back and consists mainly of a couple of shops, some bars and clubs and a selection of excellent restaurants offering a delicious combination of traditional Austrian and international cuisine.

The Austrian Tyrol is a picture-book region of outstanding beauty, where jagged, snow-capped peaks tower above fast-flowing rivers, green meadows and onion-domed churches. It is a paradise for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors, offering excellent downhill and cross-country skiing in winter, and wonderful walking in summer.

The Tyrol as a whole measures some 10,000 square miles and is covered almost entirely by the Alps (before being named the Tyrol, it was known simply as the 'land in the mountains'). After World War I, the southern half was granted to Italy, while Austria retained possession of the North and East Tyrol, which boasts some mighty peaks - more than 700 mountains are over 3000 metres high. The summit of the tallest, Wildspitze, towers 3,347 metres above sea level.

General Information: Welcome to Haus Irma Ebster Holiday Home ... a cozy family-run guest house in a sunny location on the south edge of the town of Fügen in the Tyrol Valley of Austria ... the ideal place for keen bikers and mountain bikers! Accessible in summer as well as in winter we are a central point of departure to the wonderful skiing areas of the Zillertal mountains, where snow is guaranteed. There is a free ski bus service (bus stop at 50m) to all skiing areas of the valley.
